Graduate school In response to the demand for help beyond the college years, Options for College extends its services to students who are applying to graduate school. Understanding the different priorities of applications to professional and graduate program, OFC helps students gain perspective on where they can obtain admission beyond test scores and undergraduate GPA's, helping students obtain the options that will help their careers the most. Options for College works with students in order to prepare resumes, personal statements, writing samples, and portfolios that help students be the most competitive they can during the process. OFC also conducts evaluative interviews, and gives concrete suggestions on how to create the right type of relationships with professors and admissions officers, helping students find the right balance between presenting their accomplishments and being ready to return to school. Because the amounts of graduate programs are so numerous, please contact us to see if we currently provide support for the particular type of program to which you wish to apply. Seminars, workshops, and presentations Options for College also creates unique workshops for students, schools, and organizations. Recently, OFC created a presentation on the intricacies of international application for students at Hurtwood House and Eton College in England, focusing on the roles of the A-level and GCSE exams in the admissions process. At the Newton Public Library in Newton, MA, Keith Berman spoke on the new SAT-writing exam, its purposes, and its applications in the admissions process. OFC recognizes that students and families have unique situations and needs, including applying to college with learning disabilities and applying abroad. OFC has up-to-date information on these and other post-secondary education issues, and can tailor services to these, and other, particular needs. Please contact us and explain your situation, and we will give you an overview of how we will tailor our services accordingly. Tutoring and related services Preparation for the SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, and other high-priority exams are offered through our network of affiliates. Options for College chooses its affiliates by evaluating the approaches, results, educational background of the tutors. These organizations have demonstrated student-friendly approaches, and student scores improve markedly when they prepare with these tutors. Options for College does work with students to complete individual assignments on an as-needed basis. This service is currently only extended to students who have previously worked with OFC in the preparation of an application. Contact Information Please call Options for College at 914-357-0781.
